The Honeytown... Address?

Wow. A year. An entire year. Who would have believed that I could hang onto this thing through all the ups and downs- computer outages, moving, and everything else under the sun in order to bring it around the seasons... back to the place where I started. Right here.

Granted, I need to makes some changes. The blue rectangles have got to go, for example. Broken images need to be swept up. I need to check the links for empty sites. (Random Maitenance... how I love it.)

Overall, and I'm sure my friends can attest to this, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it this far. There were times when it felt like nobody cared- but then I realized... I care. This is me. Moueska Tonelicci.

But I have to send a ginormous shoutout to everyone who reads what I write. I have to give the Goddesses a group hug for their comments and random sillyness. T, Amethist, Lar, Athenae, I love ya! I have to give Drac left arm for his support. (But only after I won him over.) Those of you who just found me this summer, or this spring, I hope that you'll keep reading.

A Little Night Music

I've come to the conclusion that there are two songs that will be played to extinction within the next two months. First, "Somebody Told Me". I heard it for the first time on LAUNCH, and couldn't stop laughing. I also had no idea what it was called at the time- titles were off because of lag. However, now, I can't seem to escape it. It won't leave me alone! Much like Ice, Ice Baby and Who Let the Dogs Out, I'm guessing this one will be gone.

Second nifty song that may be played to extinction- "She Will Be Loved" To be perfectly honest, I had no great feelings for this song the first time I heard it... sort of, "Eh, it's Maroon Five. Whoo." The music video is okay, and it's currently on several radio playlists. Color it gone by November, or at least down quite a bit.

Granted, I could be very wrong... but from what I've seen, The Killers haven't been spotlighted for any other songs recently. (Their website certainly doesn't spotlight any albums before Hot Fuss.) Actually, I'm hoping I'm wrong. Personally, it's on the list of songs I'd rather not be played out- right up there with "Breaking the Habit" and "1985". D-12's "My Band" was amusing while it lasted, as well as Missy Elliot's last album- but- I guess I'm just missing my old fashioned Billy Joel. Oh, well.

For all the Launchies...

If you've been checking the blog, you've probably noticed the new addition to the sidebar, thanks to Jeff! Ah, yes- if I have something that I've been rocking out to which is never played on my Launch station, then I'll probably still put it at the top of my posts. If not, my Launch station has pretty much what I listen to.

(Now I just have to figure out what to do with all those damned blue rectangles.)

No more hotlinking to, and not for nothing either. Livejournals that use 40 different smilies just for one post has really been eating up their bandwith. Well, either I take them down or I find a free image host. If you know of any, let me know. In the meantime, the unsightly blue rectangles are staying right where they are.
