Don't Turn Back Now That We're Here

I'm currently listening to: "Journey to the Past" from Anastasia

All right, I am at school, and by all rights, I should be in class. But... I'm not. Well, not today. I'll get to that in a bit. But first, a word or so from each of my teachers.

First Class- Personal Finance with Ron Kerlagon
I remember... there was this one time a guy who went on a tangent and took someone with him, so I guess it was a cotangent.

Very charismatic teacher, that one. Believes in the almighty dollar, thinks stocks are fun, likes cars (but doesn't really know how they work), and also teaches night classes.

Second Class- Creative Writing: Drama/Playwrighting (And yes, it's spelled correctly. Well, according to my teacher's preferences.) with Douglas Sodeberg

Either she wasn't supposed to be here or she decided at the last minute she didn't want to take the class.

I'm supposed to wright (er... ahum-hem) write two one-act plays or one full-lenth play. You know, I'm thinking about using "Truth" as an outline, but I dunno. Suggestions? Topics? On a side note, Andrew, otherwise known (to me) as 2Qt2BStr8 is in my class! (Sorry Nate, couldn't resist. At least all of you can take comfort in the fact that this won't technically qualify for "teen girl journal" status in a few months.) We've had one class togeather each semester. We crossed paths last semester in philosophy, and then my freshman year we had Major Drag (Major Dramatists I & II) togeather. He's pretty fun to have banter with, and is in the Conservatory Program.

Third Class- Contemporary Drama with Michael Erickson (my Advisor)

The Lord of the Rings is Melodrama... Think of it- "Melo Drama"- Drama with music. Three hours of just dialogue and fighting would be boring. And Simplistic! Hobbit- Good! One-Eyed Demons- BAD!

We watched part of "Waiting for Godot", and are going to finish watching "Gray's Anatomy" on Thursday. Videos every class. I think I could get used to this.

Regrettably, my fourth class, the one that I should, by all rights, be in right now, was cancelled due to lack of teacher. Well, at least for the day. You see, I managed, somehow to get myself into a studio arts class. Even though I feel confident enough to put my pictures up on the internet to show off to the world, I can't show them to qualified people beyond my brother. Even he's not technically qualified since he hasn't graduated from college/high school, he can draw circles around me. And I mean that both literally and figuratively. Anywho, I couldn't state my situation to my teacher since he wasn't there, and I feel really odd asking to do pass/fail, since it does require studio art projects. I don't really want to lose points due to my inability to draw a straight line (or a decent board of wood), but I would like honest opinions. I'd also like to be able to illustrate my own books some day.

My M/W class is tomorrow. I can deal. I also have to stalk down a teacher that changed and incomplete to a very unsatisfactory grade. Unfortunately, I feel really, really lousy about turning in an essay that I rewrote beneath the quality of the original. I can't handle a grade that low, though. Dad can't afford full tuition. Hell, I can't afford full tuition.

And I just signed up for classes for this semester. There's no way I'm turning back.
