Rolling Boil
I'm currently listening to: Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit" on LAUNCHcast
It's been a while since "Little Moueska Nature Girl" decided to remind me why I need to get out more often. Well, she caught up with me today. A warm wind, buffeting the trees and nearly knocking me over forced me to stretch my arms wide open and feel its strong- embrace? Closest word that I can think of... That's when she attacked, and from then on, I was at her mercy.
She had me glance up at the sky while still feeling the warm breezes coupled with cool jets. The sky? Ominous. Pure white and deep gray cotton candy. After staring for a minute with a stoplight in the way, I had to get a better view. And I knew just where to get it.
Leaning against the stoplight, I could see the clouds above thrashing, ripping, rejoining, reforming, twisting, turning, and melting into each other in fragments. For a second, I almost swore I saw a tornado forming. Lighting flashed across the sky, thunder rumbled not far off- I wished I could stay there forever. It was an experience I wouldn't have given up for anything.
But now I'm inside, and the rain keeps me here until my class at 5:30. Not that I mind. I just have a little bit of jogging to do with water trickling down my back. Now that's gonna be fun.
