A Little Night Music
I've come to the conclusion that there are two songs that will be played to extinction within the next two months. First, "Somebody Told Me". I heard it for the first time on LAUNCH, and couldn't stop laughing. I also had no idea what it was called at the time- titles were off because of lag. However, now, I can't seem to escape it. It won't leave me alone! Much like Ice, Ice Baby and Who Let the Dogs Out, I'm guessing this one will be gone.
Second nifty song that may be played to extinction- "She Will Be Loved" To be perfectly honest, I had no great feelings for this song the first time I heard it... sort of, "Eh, it's Maroon Five. Whoo." The music video is okay, and it's currently on several radio playlists. Color it gone by November, or at least down quite a bit.
Granted, I could be very wrong... but from what I've seen, The Killers haven't been spotlighted for any other songs recently. (Their website certainly doesn't spotlight any albums before Hot Fuss.) Actually, I'm hoping I'm wrong. Personally, it's on the list of songs I'd rather not be played out- right up there with "Breaking the Habit" and "1985". D-12's "My Band" was amusing while it lasted, as well as Missy Elliot's last album- but- I guess I'm just missing my old fashioned Billy Joel. Oh, well.
