Book Fair!

You can't go to a book fair with a shopping list. The book that you want will be snatched from your fingertips, and you'll miss out on books that look good. I set aside ten dollars of my refund money and allowed myself to go look... just to look.

Bad Moueska. Tsk. I should know better.

I came home with:

• Bram Stoker's Dracula
• The Complete Enchanter - L. Sprauge DeCamp and Fletcher Pratt
• some sci-fi Short story collection of randomness ^_^
• A book for my sister, if she's read it, she can give it to her local book fair and circulate it in Cape G.
• Anton Checkov's The Cherry Orchard
• some random kids play about Dracula
• Edward A Guest's A Heap 'O Livin', a collection of poems in the first edition, circa 1916
• A booklet of translated Egyptian Love Poems (I found it in Ephemra ^_^)
• "Who knows what evil... lurks... in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows... MWAH HAH HAH HAH HA!!" (Probably a bad novelization, but who cares. It's The Shadow, man!)
• Penn and Teller's Cruel Jokes to play on Dear Friends
  

Now, I think it's worth mentioning that there were about three zillion Star Trek books there, as well as two hundred copies of Stephen King, John Grisham, and Agatha Christie. But if I wanted to get those cheap, I have my local trade-in store to support. (Not to mention that John Grisham is boring as heck. >_>) There were also lots and lots of cookbooks and art books and mystery that I didn't bother to go through, being that my arms were already growing weary, and I was already afraid I'd come home with a book that I'd read once and then never read again.

Also, there were plenty of bits and peices of series that I was afraid I'd pick up the middle of, and not be able to find the beginning or end of (i.e. DUNE). Oh, and there were VHS out the wazoo. ^_^ I almost bought the version of Dune with Sting and Patrick Stewart.

If you can go today- the 21st of April, at West County Mall, then go. If all the vultures haven't picked over the delicious tidbits, then you just might find the perfect addition to your collection.
