It's like lemonade- Sweet, Tangy, and Refreshing!

Happy Easter to me!

I have officially popped my e-bay cherry. My first purchase was a david copperfield DVD- not the one with Daniel Radcliffe or... oh... whatsisname... him... that guy. But not that other guy.

Anywho, the verion I bought is a ninety minute anthromorphic version with David Copperfield played as a cat, Mr Micawber as a monkey, Murdstone as a rat, and with a giant cheese factory as a backdrop for the entire ending. I'm sure part of that has to be organic to the original text. Haven't had a chance to watch it, but I look forward to ruining my childhood memories.

(They got the cover picture wrong on IMDB... yay for making my search harder...)

After all, I've been waiting for this since about 1993. That's when the broadcast was shown. It was during the Christmas Holiday Season on NBC, and I was hiding out in the basement with homework... or maybe it was yarn... maybe it was my craft materials. Doesn't really matter now, I guess. The movie came on, but I only got the bright idea to start videotaping it halfway through. Never saw it on TV again, and although I kept searching for it in bargain bins and every children's section of videos and DVDs I came across, it was no use. The movie had been locked in the film vault.

It wasn't until last month that I regained hope. While searching the internet for nothing in particular, I unleashed myself upon IMDB in wild chance... why I hadn't checked it before, I'm not completely sure. I looked into the message board- There! A post by someone claiming to have the DVD in their posession!

A DVD? Then it must have been released. And if it was released- all forgotten hopes and dreams end up on E-bay!

Mine did. ^_^

Now I just have to get a copy of The Theif and the Cobbler, too. Then my childhood movies will all have been collected.
